Abstract

Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) is the number of maternal deaths during pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum caused by pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum or its management but not due to other causes such as accidents, falls, and others in every 100,000 live births. The purpose of this study was to provide comprehensive midwifery care in accordance with the application of Varney and SOAP midwifery management at the Irma Silaban Naibaho Midwife Clinic, Patumbak District, Deli Serdang Regency. The type of research used is descriptive with a case study approach. The subjects in this study were Mrs. A addresses Saewe Village. The results of this study have examined data from the history of pregnancy, there is a gap where the mother is examined since the third trimester of pregnancy, the first stage there is a gap, namely the mother experiences precipitous parturition, while the second to fourth stage the delivery process takes place normally, the mother during the puerperium does not there are complaints and problems. Newborn babies have been visited 3 times and Mrs. A uses the IUD KB, because it does not interfere with breast milk production. It is recommended for health workers to provide comprehensive midwifery care to clients since pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum, newborn and family planning.
