Neonatal asphyxia is a condition where the baby cannot breathe

spontaneously and regularly after birth Purpose: The study aims to determine

the Rrelationship between Old Partus and Asphyxia Neonaturum Incident in

Pancur Batu Health Center, Deli Serdang District in 2020. Method: This

research is quantitative research with aan n analytic survey design (Analize

Survey) with Cross Sectional approach. The population in this study were all

newborn babies registered in the register of the nursery at Pancur Batu Health

Center during the period from March to June 2020, as many as 31 babies. The

number of samples in this study were 31 people. The data collection technique

is total sampling wherein the total population is sampled. Result: From the chi-

square test obtained p value 0.002 below 0.05 means that there is a

relationship of old parturition with the incidence of asphyxia neonaturum in

Puskesmas Pancur Batu, Deli Serdang Regency in 2020. Conclusion: There is a

relationship between old parturition and neonatal asphyxia. It is recommended

to the Puskesmas to further improve services, especially in labor and handling

asphyxia
