PENGARUH KOMUNIKASI TERAPEUTIK TERHADAP PENURUNAN TINGKAT PERILAKU KEKERASAN DI RUMAH SAKIT JIWA TAMPAN

Abstract

Therapeutic communication is a form of basic skills for interviewing and conseling in health care communication almed at reduction of violent behavior in patients. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of therapeutic communication to the decline in the level of violent behavior in schizophrenic patients in a mental hospital riau province. Desaign research using quasy exsperimental methods (Quasy Experiment) with Non ?? Equivalent control group design or a Non-randomized control group pretest-postest desaign. The results showed that violent behavior in the treatment group and the control group there was a statistically significant difference in the average violent behavior. Where before it was given an average of therapeutic communication violent behavior in the experimental group was 8,57, while in the control group 8,40. There results indicate a difference, given therapeutic communication where the average violent behavior in the treatment group was 5,00 and the control group was 7,40. From this research we can conclude that a decrease in the level of therapeutic effect on violent behavior in scizoprenic patients.
