PENYULUHAN KESEHATAN REPRODUKSI REMAJA DI PULAU PENGAPIT KOTA BATAM

Abstract

Teenagers today will experience the threat of HIV or AIDS which causes sexual behavior and adolescent reproductive health to surface. It is estimated that 20 until 25% of all HIV infections in the world occur in adolescents. This community service aims to increase adolescent knowledge about their reproductive health, healthy lifestyles and encouragement of adolescents to use social media wisely. The method used in this Community Service is in the form of counseling which consists of the delivery of material on reproductive health, healthy adolescent lifestyles, and wise use of social media. The extension media used started from printed media such as leaflets. Then the level of knowledge (understanding) of adolescent participants was evaluated using a questionnaire sheet. The result is that the level of knowledge of adolescent participants on reproductive health is still lacking but has increased by 60% compared to before counseling. This adolescent reproductive health education was attended by 34 youth participants who collaborated with the heads of RW and RT and the local community. It is hoped that the teenagers on the clamp islands will be able to maintain their reproductive health, adopt a healthy lifestyle and use social media wisely.
